Character Name: Hiruma fuckin Yoichi

Species: Despite all appearences, he is in fact human. Rumors of his parent's devilishness have been greatly exaggerated.
Sexuality: Gamblingsexual? We're not sure, so we'll just say bi.
Appearance:

Hiruma is a tall, lean young man, with an impressive presence. He is lanky--long of limb and finger, and all of it wiry and strong. He has angular, pointed features, with a long, wedge-shaped nose, thin lips, and narrow, arched eyebrows. His most noticeable features are his seemingly inhuman ones--the long, pointed ears, and the too-wide mouth full of very, very attention-grabbing sharp teeth. All the photographic evidence that he also has a spade-tipped tail and horns remains unsubstantiated, as are reports that he has an unnaturally long tongue. His hair is naturally black but he dyes it blond and wears it in a spikey style; his eyes are teal.

Personality:

(Hoo boy) Hiruma never does anything halfway. Ever. And most of what he does is win. He's an athlete, a genius, and a gambler, and he is probably also batshit insane. He lies, threatens, bribes, extorts, tricks, manipulates--does everything short of breaking the rules of whatever game he's playing to win (Laws? Laws? Oh he broke most of them ages ago). Hiruma is a provocateur and fiercely independent. He smokes sometimes, for effect, but his actual addiction is to sugarfree gum. He's spiteful, sarcastic, and can be cruel at times. When he does show compassion, empathy, and other human emotion, it's usually disguised. Probably a lot of him is disguised behind this fierce bravado--but he's not about to lose face to fuckin' little ol' you. He isn't, in fact, evil--all he wants is to have fun and not be bored. And winning is interesting. He's a loner, he's dangerous, he swears in a truly epic fashion--in summation, Hiruma is one magnificent bastard.

Abilities: (For superhuman powers/strength/abilities, describe how they will be limited)
Nothing about Hiruma's canon is particularly supernatural--at least the parts that are taken seriously. Here in New York, he'll have to scavenge back his once enormous armory before he can threaten anyone with it. Either way, once he gets them back, he's capable of using weaponry ranging from handguns to bazookas and flamethrowers--he even knows how to operate a tank. He has eidetic memory and excellent hacking skills. Hiruma is in fantastic physical shape; strong for his size and weight with excellent coordination and endurance--and he's fast, too. He's in the habit of making notebooks filled with threats and blackmail material on everyone he meets. He's technologically adept, having been seen in canon dissassembling cell phones to get at their tiny cameras. Hiruma speaks English, Japanese, and can sign as well. And if there's ever a pickup game of football in Daisychain, he's a superlative QB.

Weaknesses:
He's strong for his size and frame....but unfortunately, that makes him weaker than most inhabitants of Manhattan; he's just that thin--and he had to work hard for every bit of strength he has, having a naturally skinny build. He also pushes himself very hard--sometimes to the breaking point, and never lets anyone in to help him out with that. Lastly, Hiruma is the type to take big risks--win big, lose big, and he's lost hundreds of thousands of dollars in the past with some bets.

Manhattanite or outsider? OUTSIDERRRRR

History: Very little is known about Hiruma's early life and family--he was living on his own since before high school. His father, at least is still alive, though what he looks like and what he's like is completely unknown--Hiruma's told three separate stories about him that we know of; they may all be true or none of them may be true. In middle school, he befriended Kurita and Musashi, who seem to be the oldest friends he has. He's been a talented gambler since he was ten, and only gave up serious poker playing when he was 15--when he discovered football, which turned out to be far more interesting than silly money. In his last year of middle school, he started a football club with his best friend--or the closest thing he had to a best friend--Kurita Ryokan, however the two of them were only able to recruit one more player, Gen "Musashi" Takekura. The three of them tried to get into Shinryuuji High School, known for its exemplary football club, but due to the machinations of one Kongo Agon, Kurita wasn't able to get in. Hiruma and Musashi refused to abandon him, though, and instead the three enrolled in Deimon high, which had no football club. Nonetheless, Hiruma and Kurita perservered, and in their second year, they found a boy with golden legs...

...The rest is history, or rather the Eyeshield 21 manga, and Hiruma is lifted from after the foreseeable end of the manga, with the assumption that the Devilbats won the Christmas bowl. In his senior ear, prohibited from club activity and bored with class, he's been thinking about leaving town for kicks--and then he woke up somewhere that wasn't home.
